We would like final repertoire details by the end of May

We will send out class times by the end of half term (strings) and the following week (piano).

The piano you will be performing on this year is a Steinway upright

2021 Dance Section

The difficult decision has been made to postpone the Dance Section of the Festival in February 2021, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and social restrictions.

Trophy Return

Don't worry about trying to return a trophy in these days of isolation and social distancing.

Trophies from last year can be kept over Christmas and we'll collect them in January 2021.

Enjoy and don't forget to polish them !!!

Help Needed

We have vacancies on the committee which we urgently need to fill. The Schools and Piano secretaries both stood down at the recent AGM and we are looking for replacements. The Piano secretary role could be shared between two people. The most important qualifications are a love of music and good organisational skills.

We also need an administrator to produce the syllabus and programme booklets from information provided by the various secretaries. Again, a love of music is important as is good Word and Excel knowledge.

The Festival has happened every year since 1910 with only two total cancellations and we want to keep this record up. We are totally dependent on the work put in by volunteers: please do come forward if you believe you can help or, if you know someone who could be interested, please tell them about these opportunities.

The Committee is a friendly bunch. Meetings are held about six times a year. There is usually a vigorous but friendly discussion.

Help us by contacting the Chairman for a chat using the details given on the website: www.leamcompfest.co.uk

Sadly our Piano Secretary, Marina Kusnetsova is now standing down after 5 years in the role.

She has spent a lot of time and effort in building the section into an amazing 4 days of great music making so a big thank you to her.

We are now looking for a new Piano Secretary so if you feel you could help in any way please contact our chair, Laurie Grove at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We are also still looking for a new Treasurer, so if you or anyone you know would like to help support this annual event, please contact our chair, Laurie Grove at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
